I only have one choice...analog. Does installing DirectX make any difference? I can't update the drivers either. The message says 'turn the display settings to VGA and 640x480 and try again' !!!! It's no biggie but I was going to have a play with Vista 64bit.

Is the monitor brand new? I'm picking it's actually faulty unless there's anything in the manual about not being able to display low res.
The other test would be to try it on another pc.

You may find it works with Vista installation as the Vista installer boots into WinPE at 800x600 to image the hdd (installation is quite different (a lot simpler but a lot more pawerful if you want) to xp).

Well I'm heading up to my grandparents place again this weekend and thought I would try some Landscape photography, something I have never done

Anyone got some useful tips? I'm sure there are some talented landscape photographers here...

Keeping your horizon level is one tip that some of us (including me) tend to forget. Add foreground interest. Open up your aperture to get good depth of field. Other than that, post your pics when you get back!

All sorted. Looked like a duff driver. Just uninstalled every display driver I could find. Rebooted and loaded them from the 'net. I even get to see boot options...:)

whooh...

Yeehaa..

Man there was snow chaos this morning.
I had to shovel my drive for about 1/2 an hour before leaving, then I drove nearly 50 km at an avarage speed of about 30 KMh. Took 1 1/2 hours (normally 30 mins) Grr Bloody Mercedes drivers when they see a few specks of snow they are scared to go faster than walking pace. Also the rear wheel drive cars are soooo useless in snow (the ones without the motor in the back).

Anyone in CHC area, or close to Timaru who wants to attend the D1NZ 1st Round 2007 drifting championship?

Media passes available, and if you're really good, some shots may be used in NZ Performance Car mag.

I believe it's this weekend.

If you're still keen, please PM myself or email direct to Brent@d1nz.com (external link)
It looks like it's over 2 or 3 days.

I personally have no issue photographing any kind of ceremony, same sex doesn't bother me. I'd like to have it in my portfolio, but not enough to fly up for it. I have a greek wedding coming up.
