OK the 7D has been replaced by the 5DMKIII and the radio based STE-3 RT; and I bought a single 600EXRT.
The plan is for off camera wireless, I can for quick set ups just use ETTL2 and one off camera flash.
For more demanding scenarios Ideally I will in the long term buy more 600s.
But for now I am hoping I can use the 600 as my main and either the 430mk II
Triggered by the 600s flash.
But this means it would be manual, and I need a Flash Zebra optical cell and a hot-shoe adapter total cost £25 ($39)

A) will the 600 work in ETTL2 mode being augmented by one or two manually set fill flashes.?
I.e. I set up the fill flash maybe meter it then will the 600 using ETTL2 get the right balance?
B) the big question is should I sell the mint 430EXII for hopefully £140 and get 2 YN560 MKIIs or even 3?

At £42.48 even 3 would cost only £127.44!
That would give me 4 remote lights
They can be triggered by the flash of the 600 and even themselves I guess.?
So the real distance is done by the STE-3, and then onto the 430 ii or the YN 560IIs
Bluntly is it better to have one 430EXII and the hassle of the flash zebra optical cell and the connection to a fake hot-shoe adapter and the extra £25 cost.
Or sell it save that cost and get 3 YN560II? OK they are not as well built but 2 could fail before you did not have a fill light.
Only other alternative is called double counting.
I.e. sell the 430ii and get hopefully £150 and then buy another 600ex rt. for £350! So finding another £200!
Then I only have 2 not 4 external flashes. And with the YN these could even be triggerred by my internal bowens studio flashes.?
I do not think the 600 has an optical trigger.
Any views ? Please advise.
Oh and especially any thoughts on using 2 or 3 YN 560II s manually and then the 600 on Ettl 2 will it take into account the flashes from the YN560IIs ?
Or will it get confused i.e. might it meter the scene say it without the YN flashes; then fire for the picture and get totally surprised as these additional light sources (the YNs ) come in and bleach it all out?
