I have a week away with no camera, and I have loads of bees and hovers in the garden, but Saturday produced no keepers :(

These may still be of interest, I hope.

This solitary bee does a dance on the flower, I am not sure which type it is:

The bumble bees now have lots of plants to choose from:

And the hovers:

There is lots of procreation going on. This may be a little strong for even the G&N forum.

Cheers Snowy, but your shots are decidedly well focussed, and always a delight.

The mating hovers were a nightmare, they refused to stay still, and I ended up with a series of shots where the naughty bits were in focus, and not much else.

I would still prefer that to no shots at all, and it is still great to get out in the sun and try again.

Great series Bas. At least you have some targets, still short of garden bugs my way despite SWMBO planting more bug friendly flowers.

I don't know why you're complaining about these images. What's missing? Only that the bugs didn't put on makeup and get their hair styled?

That is the positive part of this weekend, there are plenty of hovers and bees, so the plants are doing their job

The shots show the variety of things, it is a shame most shots were 'close'.

LOL. Close up the focus is not good, possible exception is the first bee. I have the usual hit and miss comp. I am not blaming the bugs mind you :D
