More a snapshot than a great pic... I was at a friend's cottage on a lake when a CL-215 water bomber flew by. Grabbed the 7D, 70-200 f/4 zoomed all the way in (with a bit of crop afterwards...) f 6.3, 1/800 ISO 100. Mid-day sun cast a huge shadow from the wing on the fuselage, unfortunately. (I might take time to recover a bit with a LR5 local adjustment later on, and will post the result...)

Interesting shot. The tail is huge, & the frozen props look like the motors are pointed in different angles.

Very nice capture of a firefighting aircraft. They might not be right in the fires but they are doing their tasks to stop the fires or slow the fires down.

Rivman, I got a shot, not the shot... The shot would have involved some trees in the background -- plane was flying to high for that -- and blurred props -- shutter speed was too high for that. 1/100th, perhaps with some panning?
