I hooked up my 5D Mk3 today with my grip, 24-105mm lens and my BR strap. The weight is not excessive but I immediately got concerned about the construction of the carabiner and the fastener. I went to their website and from what I can gather these two parts are made from zinc-alloy ingot. To be honest, I do not know much about what the properties of this material is, I assume that BR would only use quality material, but has anyone ever had an issue with either the carabiner or the fastener breaking? What is the most weight you would use with an RS4 strap?
