We had some pretty nice weather yesterday without the usual threat of thunderstorms at about 4-5PM, which makes everyone head for home, so it was time to go out & tune up my slow shutter speed panning in preparation for the Dream Cruise next month.
If you're from S.E. Michigan, it's time to head for Woodward in the evening. These were taken from "The Shell", which is just south of Normandy (13-1/2 Mile).
The EXIF info is in the images.
1. I started warming up before 9PM & the better light. The sun highlights WAY too much detail behind the grill, & it sure makes the poles & orange barrels pop out, doesn't it? ; D
2. At 9:22 things are looking better on this MOPAR Super Bee. The traffic cones match the paint nicely, don't you think? I hope they'll be gone by next weekend. OTOH, the new pavement on this side looks pretty good.
3. An interesting Chevy pick-up. The highlights in it could be cleaner, but you take what you can get out here. I'd have looked for a better location, but for a first warm up, I prefer to start from "The Shell" with Duggans in the background.
4. Not my favorite shot, but at least it has two Classics in it! (And a pole, traffic cone, & Mom's car.)
5. 9:28 & the lights are starting to come on.
6. The highlights in the body look pretty good. Other than the sign & barrels, I'm liking the effect of 1/50th second on this shot taken at 9:38PM.
7. There's something about a black car on a dark background...
8. 9:51PM & it's getting hard to see what cars are coming with all the headlights.
