Noise ninja is a plugin to smooth away noise. Otherwise, there are a number of techniques you could use - one is to select the skin you want to look like that, and apply a gaussian blur - the other option, is to use Median (located in Filters->Noise->Median) - use a radius of a pixel or two, I'd have though.

I'm still guessing this was noise ninja, except that the hair on the main subject does not look as matted as noise ninja can sometimes look...Iriquiinet, try the free down load of Noise ninja (search for it that way)try it out , very easy to use, and buy the simple stand alone version for about $35 US if you like it...It is amazing! Of course to look as good as this one you must have a pretty good shot to start with, color and focus wise..

Sounds like good advice - they're just techniques I've learnt to plasticise skin (although I rarely if ever, use them)

Iraguiinet...I did not see where you allow editing but as you are asking for some help I took your photos and added a little unsharp to them (which I should have suggested prior to Noise Ninja) and brought up the saturation levels just a tad...(I think on your original photo the exposier was a bit high as it is a bit "washed out" in the highlights.

so sorry if I am oversteping my boundries here and will remove my rendition quickly if it does not please you to have my version posted....

if it is , this what I would do, most of the work is photoshop technique, one way is to duplicate the later, blur the top layer , change the style to multiple and fade the blur, then add layer mask and paint over to removed the blur from the areas that you do not want it and leave it over the skin to soften the face.

hope that help,

mc

good job. also, moving your subject further from the background will help get rid of that shadow behind them.
