I really like these.

One thing that I think could have been improved is her expression. In (2) he has a slight smirk, yet she seems solemn--a strange mix for an ostensibly quirky photo. (3) is similar in that he is smiling, she is wistful and looking away. Does this reveal something about their relationship ?

And the pattern continues--In (6) she appears stern; in (7) she looks mournful, while he appears to be jovial.

I'm definitely not one to argue for perma-smiles in every engagement / wedding photo; but I feel like her 'straight' face reads as perhaps too serious and solemn and that some direction (whether through instruction or through creating fun active environments, or even 'getting the shot after the [main] shot') was needed here, if only to put their expressions in sync a little more.

:) she smile's in plenty of the other photos - I just choose these to post because it was first to appear.

I love the look and feel of these. The wardrobe, setting and processing all come together very well.

I agree with you. She looks mournful, almost concerned and some of the photos. The entire set is really great, I wish she was just looking a little bit happier in the photos. I also am not one that thinks people should be smiling big in every photo, but she looks more concerned than anything else in some, and it kind of confuses me as a viewer.

The editing, light, and everything else is spot on though. Very nice work!

Great set. #4 has some pretty serious CA in the tree branches that is kinda distracting.

I agree with Mesmer, #4 couldhave been cropped horizontally for less distraction

I really like the look/theme for these. Very "period" looking.

BTW, she doesn't look THAT old :-)

I completely agree!
