I think the OP is talking about the original Digital Rebel (300D) (external link)

gave my 300D to my brother with a Tamron 18-200mm he wanted something that would give him decent pics and range it still works fine

People used to shoot single shot full manual 35mm. It used to be more about the photographer and the ability to stop motion. More of an art form. Now we rely on fps and all other sorts of gadgetry to make up for the lack of skills.

Still have my 350D (XT) and use it in daylight conditions when I want light gear.
Exept for one AF point not flashing when focus locks it is still working as it should.

Gave my 300D to an aspiring young photographer when I upgraded to the 550D. It was pretty good for a starter DSLR.

I just recently gave my Digital Rebel 300D to my son along with an 18-55 kit lens. It works great for him right now, he has a fantastic eye for photographic composition but isn't too interested in worrying about shutter speeds, ISO, etc. so he usually just shoots full auto jpg's. Compared to the 35 mm film camera I had the Digital Rebel was a heck of an advancement (and many people now think of them almost as some sort of prehistoric relic).

I donated my 350D to a couple of friends of mine since it saw little use after I got my 7D. It still is capable of producing very good images, despite all the paint being worn off (it is now mostly glossy black!). I am glad to see it being put to good use.

I kept my XTi after buying a 7D earlier this year and it's a nice backup/lightweight walk around body. I acutally used the XTi and the 7D for a parade this year and had them both around my neck for a long lens/wide lens combo.

THe OP didn't specify the 300D, they said Digital Rebel. They're all labeled Digital Rebel on the body.

Gotta be more specific. ;)

Only one is labeled 'Digital Rebel' by itself .. all the rest have an additional designation on that label. Also technically all non NA models aren't Rebels at all .. they are xxxD's, xxxxD's or Kiss's.
Is that specific enough for you :)
