I posted last year of the white bird that showed up here. It hung around all winter, then was gone. Today, I caught a flash of white, and was surprised to see either the same one, or a new one!

Very unusual, Flo. I always wonder if birds frequent the same haunts year after year.

Me as well Al. Seeing as this is the only white bird we have ever had in our yard looking like this, I am assuming it could be the same one? What are the chances of it having offspring that are all pure white? Juncos are here year round, so being here now is normal for the speices, just surprised by this one again.
This was last years....

Is it me, or does this year's visitor look like a youngster compared to last year's?

I thought so as well? Looks more like a chick than an adult. Also looks like feathers are still coming in on the head?

I always wonder if birds frequent the same haunts year after year.

Some do. We had a pair of scrub jays return for several years running. It was obvious they were the same ones, because one was very tame. It would peck on a window to call our attention to its peanut deficiency.

That was the worry when it went away.

We have violet greem swallows that have been coming to the same nesting box for over 20 years.I am quite sure not the same swallows;) but the offspring do return. This year we had all three boxes nested in! First time.7 fledged, no losses.
