I shot some pictures for a friend's daughters wedding. They werre Jpegs. After normal USM curves etc, the bride & bridesmades look as if they've spent the last 6 months sunbathing on Bondai Beach. I have the originals on my memory card. I rescued another by lowering The saturation of red or magenta but that didn't work. I didn't enhance skin but did use the smart brush on the sky. Any ideas on what I did wrong? And how do I put it right?

There might be some kind of color profile mismatch going on. Samples and more details would probably help people figure out where the issue is.

Can you post a before/after example of the problem?

Also, did you save the results in the proper color space (typically sRGB for "generic" viewing)?

when you apply the curve layer, try changing blend mode to luminosity
