Lovely captures, I really like your composition.

The only niggle for me is the light on the eyes. It is better on the second shot, but there appears to be a shadow on the left (camera right) eye.

The flash was from the left slightly Baz - I did raise the exposure on the shadow a little but any more would introduce artifacts spoiling the edit...

prefer #2, I would try adding just a bit more light on the eye on the shadow, but if you say you can't, then nothing can be done.
