So it has happened we have ran out of wall space lol. My wife likes to do large collages of vacation photos (24x36" frames). Between that and our photography related outings we are out of wall space.

So I want to inset a monitor or tv into one of the walls, there is a closet behind it that I could stash a tower in if need be. So I am looking for something that would work for displaying images only. And it will not be left on all the time, just evenings or when company is over.

What would you suggest? Trying to keep it as low of a cost as possible, but don't want crap either :)

I don't see any need to actually attach it to a computer. I haven't been out TV shopping in awhile, so I don't have any specific recommendations, but my 3-4 year old Samsung LCD has a USB port to display photos from a thumb drive, so between something like that and TVs with wifi capability, I'm guessing you could find something reasonably priced to do what you're talking about.

I think we are headed out to our favorite audio video store this weekend to see what they might have :) I dont want to drop a lot of money, but if it can be done for under $200 I think we might give it a go, if all else fails it will replace my daughters crappy tv in her room.

I have been thinking of doing the same thing and I was going to go the edge lit LED (super slim) TV route with an Apple TV attached to it streaming from my Flickr account whatever set I set it to. Then it could also be used for mirroring from my iOS devices as well as streaming from Netflix if I wanted or any of the other apps on it.
