Another great 3D shot Balliolman....I'm now at the point that I can stare at the images for long periods of time and appreciate the nuances contained within the photographs. My concern is that my eyes dont even hurt anymore!! Keep them coming.

Superb progress, Sugarzebra, you have come a long way in your freeviewing! :) Moreover, you are now beginning to appreciate the qualities of depth. I am really pleased for you! :D

Saw the 3D in this one so quickly I didn't have time to examine the scene in 2D first as I usually do. One of your best, Balliolman.

Sounds like you are making progress freeviewing too, Mike. This is really excellent. :) Some scenes do seem to be more easily fusible than others dependant upon the viewer's eyesight and, I suspect, their interpupillary distance (a factor which is critical in freeviewing parallel format pairs). It is nice to know you liked this one: thank you! :D

You are right, Dimitri, it is mostly the foreground with the stereo depth in this one. In a larger format it is possible to see layering in the boat but not readily so in this size (unless you know what to look for ;) ).

You are bang on there,in a larger format it would be perfect.;)
Would you need larger eyes too though?:lol::lol:

The other cape is in Scotland, Cape Wrath, my friend!

Darn , and i live in Scotland.:o:o:o

Five stars, wow, thank you very much indeed!! :D

Thats the least i can do for this fine image.:D

Took me longer to get this one, somehow the blue border line and blue sea dominated. Then when it did click into place, almost fell over the plank.

Great shot.

Hey, result! ;) Have a go at stereo yourself, Jackie, as I have said before you have a great photographic eye and I am sure 3D would offer you another expressive outlet.

Thanks!

That is actually a very good question, Dimitri! :D Crossed stereo pairs can be viewed in very large sizes. This makes them well suited for freeviewing. I have looked at crossed stereos 10 feet wide! :) Freeviewing parallel stereo pairs is actually limited to a breadth equal to your interpupillary distance. If you tried anything bigger your eyes would need the mobility of a chameleon's!! Large parallel stereos require a viewing aid like a pokescope. PM me if you want any more technical detail ...

Hey B. So tell me, what is this Stereo Photo Maker programme of which you speak? Never heard of it, and to be quite honest never found a need for it. No doubt you will enlighten me/us either here or via PM.

Stereo Photo Maker is a free download :) which allows for the alignment and setting of chips into a stereogram. There are a number of automated features which can make the batch processing of a lot of stereos quick and easy. It is also a very good viewer for stereos.

SPM has functions to create anaglyphs in colour and b and w, phantograms and much else. A google search will get you to the site.

If you use SPM,FotOz ,I bet you will find it a boon! :D
