I just upgraded to LR 5 from LR4. When I synched a folder to add some new photos, I was surprised to see that LR 5 showed a bunch of old photos as "new" and needing importing. I checked, and this has happened in many but not all folders, including some to which I had not added any photos at all since upgrading. There are almost 1,000 images that it did not import. Anyone know what this is caused by? I could presumably re-sync the parent directory, but I am nervous that this is a sign of something wrong.
When I opened LR 5 this time, it also did not remember the catalog--I had to open it manually.
