Just was wondering the "actual" bokeh look of this lens. Considering full frame term, 1.8 on AP-S with this this lens is actually around 2.8 on full frame.

Hard to say exactly. Regardless, it's still a gem. Those MMA photos I shot above couldn't have been done with a FF camera and 24-70 f/2.8 though. I mean, they COULD, but not at the same settings. It's pretty impressive that I can shoot at f/1.8, and only ISO 400 and get a shutter speed of 1/800. Just my 2 cents.

I love this lens, did not think I would use it but Its so nice to get a different perspective rather than always getting in your face shots.

That second shot looks like the inside of Druids bend looking back at SouthBank , that's given me some inspiration for when I'll be there for the BTCC final in October :)

Great shots;)

Slight vignette between 18-20 but it does not bother me really.

That is very interesting. I would have thought that with a 1.3 crop there would still be some relatively extreme vignetting. I assume the slight vignetting between 18-20mm you noted is with the aperture stopped down. I suspect it would be a lot worse wide open. Great shots, by the way. Stopped down this lens is wonderfully sharp with great contrast.

Here you go, no tripod used but you get a rough idea.

Surprisingly sharp considering you and the subject were both moving, you shot it at only 1/40, probably hand held, and the lens has no OS

yeah, hand held and i was laying on the floor pan of a Belingo MPV, hanging half out of the side door ;) a lot of frames were binned!

This one is definitely a keeper. I guess if you could have shot at a much higher shutter speed it would have reduced or eliminated the background and foreground blur at the sides and on the roadbed and with it the sense of high speed movement you captured.

did a set at 1/125.. although the keeper rate is higher, the dynamism is missing - but can always add some "extra" blur for the client ;)
