..... to dangle your wings in front of a spider.

The damsel wasn't caught in a web, the spiders legs are just really long. Just reached out and grabbed it.

The spider reacted faster then me, it was almost instantaneous.

The damsel didn't stand a chance.

Yes the first 3 aren't technically great, but it is part of the whole sequence. Plus I didn't have time to set anything. I saw the spider, then saw the damsel, and it was all I could do to get the shot.


Once the spider had his straw in place. I had some time to set a better aperture, and get a better angle.

Thanks guys.

I literally saw, just the spider out of the corner of my eye. Then I saw the damsel. The spider was eying it, but couldn't quite reach it. I got my lens out, stuck it on and started shooting, that is right on that first pic. Which is right when the damsel flicked its wing, and that was just enough for the spider to reach out and grab it.

You can see the grass the damsel is on getting closer to the one the spider is on. That is the spider pulling in the damsel.
