First macro attempt

Been following this forum for a long time and you guys all post some amazing photos and have opened a whole new world of photography to me. I love the fact that I can step outside and have a million different subjects to shoot that I don't ever pay attention to.
I don't have a true macro setup at this point so I am just using tubes on a 70-200 2.8IS II with a 580. A proper 100mm lens and diffused flash setup are on my very short list to purchase. For now, my current setup will work as a starter while I learn more about technique, stalking, insect patterns etc etc.

yes, this was handheld at 200mm, with a full set (68mm) of very cheap Meike tubes ($30 used from a POTN member) and a 580EX flash. Just a stab here but I'd estimate the working distance here was about 18". I used AF vs manual focus.
