Was processing some photo's that I took a few weeks ago with my Vari ND filter and noticed I had a VERY dirty sensor. ((took me 6-attempts to clean it, and I was terrified the whole time))

Need to go back and re-take this weekend, if we can get some morning clouds

My 40D looks like that or worse. Need to find the right time to get it cleaned.

Nice shot. I would just have a go at cleaning up those spots. Fortunately where dust is most often obvious in a shot is also the easiest to remove in PP. However much time I spend cleaning a sensor I always have a few spots to clean up when shooting at f11+.

If you don't have software do do that you can download Gimp for free and it has clone and heal tools.

you can easily clean those up with Lightroom or Photoshop.

Wow. There are a lot of dust-spots in that shot. I cleaned my 40D's sensor once, but have shaky hands, so I took it into a shop the next time. It would have cost $60, but there was one little spot in the corner that he couldn't remove, so he only charged me $30.

I doubt I'll ever try it myself on my 5DIII.
