These nymphs are so cute but most difficult to shoot; they do not stop turning around and hardly ever sit quietly!

-1- Wonder what they were thinking...

Thank you everyone for your favourable comments.
Ian, these were all done with the 100; I have never used an MPE and not too sure if I am ready for one...

Thanks Ish :)

I've often considered the MPE but I think I need to actually learn stacking properly before getting an MPE.

no, but you should get used to work at more then 1:1 (i.e. start with a macro lens with ET/TC)

no need to know how to stack to use that lens,Ian,at low mags.you can still use a decent F stop for ample DOF.
what I did,is practiced with the 100,in manual of course, and started adding tubes, till I was comfortable with that set-up,before I bought the mpe.
that,s what ish is doing now.she,s used to shooting with the 36mm tube on.
also that way the learning curve is much easier if,and when you get one.

Thanks Denis, I have a set of tubes, mostly shooting with the 12 or 20 on but I can use the larger of the set and work from there :)

Ps.Ish, your PM box is full :)

no problem Ian.
it,s a great way to get used to the higher mags, whitout loosing image quality which will happen if you start adding extra glass in the form of diopters,extenders,etc....
this way ,you only lose a bit of light.
