Wow, wow, wow! Saying that these are incredible is an understatement. Makes me wonder why I have a stable of expensive and heavy equipment. May I ask your proximity for some of these shots?

Thanks to all who commented,

Slice - Like all small-sensor cameras, the SX50 does best at base ISOs and modest distances. The shots in this set range from @12-30ft and were taken at or near maximum optical focal length (1200mm). This puts a lot of pixels on the birds and lets us capture good detail. Superzooms are light, inexpensive, and very capable under ideal conditions... but they are no match for DSLRs with quality gla$$ in more demanding situations.
