I have a trail that I like to walk as it has offered up many nice bird shots, but I haven't been to it for a while due to highway work in the area. Yesterday I managed to get down there, and after reaching the trail end and turning back I was met by this very vocal Broad-winged hawk. I headed out and this a.m. decided to try the trail again, and again was greeted by lots of treetop scolding. There must be a nest tucked away in there somewhere. She (?) kept to the treetops at all times, so I was unable to get any decent shots, but here are a few of my attempts before leaving her in peace..
