Shot my first MLS game last night and had a blast. Please let me know if they look dark or have too much contrast, I may need to adjust my monitor again.

Not bad! Not bad at all! How would you say the AF on the mkII was? Now try a 7D or a 1D mkIII and compare :-) A tad slow shutter on a few of them. Don´t worry about ISO. If you need fast shutter, crank up the ISO and get at least 1/1000sec. Preferably faster.

Not a big fan of the HUGE watermarks.

Using just the center AF point on the 5DII wasn't too bad, just gotta predict the action a little sooner and be patient to let it focus. I used the 5DII the second half cause I hate the amount of noise on the 7D at high ISO's. I'll resize the watermarks too, technically it's the right size when I post 1024 pixel photos. Thanks for the input!

Nice work, suggestions from me would be to crank that ISO to get a higher shutter speed and shoot / crop tighter. :)

I might have missed it, but what lens did you use for these, and I'm also curious if you had any problem getting the gear into the game to shoot these. At Gillette stadium in Foxboro, they seem pretty strict about gear you can bring to the Revs games.

I used a 300 2.8 but I had media credentials for this game.

Ah, well that explains it. I've often wondered what I'd need to do to acquire media credentials for a MLS game. I do shoot professionally...and I shoot amateur (youth) soccer, but I've wanted to shoot a pro game (and have the gear to do it).
