Look to find something cheaper than a MacBook Pro before I jump on spending close to 3 grand for a laptop. I travel a lot and need portability for editing. Will this hold up pretty well?

Powerful, fast, probably large and heavy with the two disks. Screen type is worth investigating, though most are ok when calibrated.

My main concern is battery life. Not sure if it's worth it to just go ahead and get the Macbook Pro...

No battery is listed. Doing any heavy duty image editing will take a lot of battery. There's no reason a Macbook will last longer on battery than a PC. That PC sounds like a luggable more than a laptop.

Looks more like a gaming laptop.

You are paying a premium in price and power consumption order to get that GTX 765M.

If you are not going to be playing games you could get a smaller machine with just as much memory and an equally fast cpu for quite a bit less money.

Thanks. That's what I was concerned about with this one. It is geared to the gamer. I don't play games, so that's not a factor for me. I just want something that isn't going to overheat like my Toshiba does or crash when I try to do a photomerge of raw files. I'm willing to get the Mac if it's the best option, but I know there are plenty of PC's that can do the same for less. The Lenovo W5xx seems to be the one I come across the most. The Dell Precision is another.

Too many choices.
