Last night I looked at the McDonalds that I've previously used as a location & they built a entrance for a hospital in the way of my shot, so I went closer to Duggans for a few.

While I was shooting, a older couple from out of town stopped & asked me what the occasion was that all the people were out on the side of the street for. I said that this was normal for Woodward in the Summer. "Think a guy & his GF out on Woodward in the evening in the 1960s, '70s, '80s, '90s... It's still going on!"

1. This location is a little tight for the 70-200 when cars are in the close lane. The 28-70 would be ideal for this shot, but not long enough for the far lanes. So I stuck with the 70-200.
At 9:08 there was still some direct sunlight, but I like to start shooting early to smooth out my panning.

3. 9:21 & the sun is down. So are some of the lovely orange barrels. ; ( On the bright side, there's still some light in the sky to put some highlights in the body.

Right, Randy has it. NICE WORK & I'm sure I couldn't do it.

I'm thinking that, if I can get down to about 2 seconds, you won't see any background at all? It will be like a huge piece of background paper.

You do a fine job panning those little RC aircraft & I would bet that you could get nice results with something as big as a car. The really difficult part is deleting one of a nice car that just didn't quite work out.

I generally want the front fairly sharp, but still like the feeling in these, too...

I don't feel it. They're underexposed, badly composed, and in general they look amateurish.
Looks like the pictures were taken somewhere around the golden hour, why not use that?

I can't see much around the cars because the pics are cropped so tight, but it looks like there's some pretty cool sorroundings, with neon lights and other pretty stuff. It's a shame that you're not using the sorroundings. Sorry, not a fan at all.

Thanks, guys. Saturday was a parking lot on Woodward, & I didn't go back on Sunday. Hopefully we'll have better luck this week.
I don't recommend that anyone wait until next Saturday unless you want to see more of this:

Isn't there an 8-image rule around here, somewhere?

PhotosGuy wrote in post #16194614 (external link)
Sorry, but in the "Share" areas IMAGE POSTING RULES specifically state: "Do not use the forum as your image gallery, post only the best of the best and link to the rest."
This means we allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread, OR 8 embedded (linked) images, OR a combination of 2 attachments + 6 embedded (linked) images, totaling 8 per thread. (Maximum 1024 pixels on any side.) You can always just post a link to more, though, or better yet, post a link to a gallery so we don't have to click on each image link.
Some exceptions are group threads, like "Show Me...", "Post your best...", equipment reviews, Tutorials, etc.
You may add a few additional photos if requested, but only in a reply to other member's post and request.

^ ^ Thanks for the <bump> & for posting that. Now there's no excuse that you aren't aware of the rules, right?

I've read the rules. Have you?

Or are mods allowed to post as many pics as they want?
