Hey guys/gals... been working on a new redesign of my site: http://twilightscapes.com (external link)

My first and foremost priorities were getting as large images as possible and making my site work on all devices and screen sizes.

So, this new design I'm working on will bring full-screen images and slideshows (a new feature for my site) and due to the way I'm building it, it's responsive design, so it should scale from large desktop all the way down to an iPhone, using the same site (no separate mobile site - Yeeeeah!)

It's also completely touchscreen aware, so the galleries are swipeable, the scrollbars are draggable, etc..

As it's still in heavy development, there are still some bugs and missing features, but I'd love it if ya'll could run through it a bit, re-size the screen, check it out in different devices, etc.

I haven't been able to test it on Android yet, so I am worried that it works there, anyone on Android that can test for me?

Keep in mind, the imagery is all the old images from my previous design, which I am in the process of re-editing for retina display support, so many of the images will look like crap.

A bit of background on the site: It's using a custom WordPress implementation that I am building and almost everything on the site is WordPress driven.

Anyways, I'm rambling.... sorry... Check it out and see if you spot anything out of whack or that could be done better. If you do see something and wouldnt mind posting a screenshot, that'd really help!

Thanks a lot!

- Todd

From my experience as a web and app developer, the android browser renders pretty the same as the Safari on iOS. Since both are webkit (safari and chrome) and both touchdevices.

Thanks David. Yes, I know most mobile browsers use webkit, but I am still not sure that the experience is exactly the same. Having never really used Android myself, and not knowing anyone else that does, I am curious about things like target areas, screen space, touch sensitivity, etc...

I already know the layout should pretty much hold up in everything IE8 +, but it's the rest of the experience that I am concerned about.

Thanks again!

Have you tried an emulator?

Its extreme funny. Developers are found everywhere and share mostly artistic hobbys. Me myself i do photography as well as music design and developing websites etc. I know alot other people from the tech side doing music or photography as well. I think the techies need sometimes a creative part in the live too for balancing :D

Thanks for the link, David. That is a great link although as useful as it is, it doesn't really replace real human testing and input, which is why I asked about it here.

Yes, I think the most creatives need the yin-yang thing.. 8-)

Thats true. But for a first proof still useful. I had good experiences with the iphone simulator but your right, its not waterproof tested then
