FYI....

I recently found this set of flash "tutorials" by Neil van Niekerk. While it is a mix of Nikon and Canon, all the advice can be easily applied to Canon and Canon EX flash.

What I really like is how he is able to use flash, while still making it look as if only ambient lighting was used....with only the on camera (not built in) flash.

I second that. While the EOS tutorial from photonotes.org is an excellent technical lesson, Neil does a great job with the application of the knowledge.

I didn't prevously know of a Canon-specific forum similar to the Nikonians forums.
