I took photos in jpg/raw on two different days in different places. Thankfully not important ones. When I transferred then opened them on my cpu, the jpg was solid grey. When I opened them with digital photo professional, the jpg was still solid grey but I could see the photo in raw. Tried to open the raw and window pops up with "file corrupted" and looks very pixelly. I have know idea what to do next. This is the first time anything like this has happened. I don't know if it is my sd card (PNY Pro-Elie class 10 16 gb 35MB/s) or if it's my camera (Canon Rebel t1i) both about 3 years old. PLEASE HELP!

It's nearly always the card. How are you transferring them? Via camera cable, or card reader? Your best bet is to try another card to see if the problem is still occurring. If you cant do that, format the card and try again.

You should have two cards anyway, in case one gets lost/damaged before an important event.

Try out a second card, if the problem goes away, the issue is the first card.

If you still want to try the PNY card, give it a low level format and test it. But cards are so cheap, I wouldn't bother. Consider this your lucky warning.

If this really bothers you, consider a premium brand replacement (and not from ebay).
