American Bully shoot

Did a shoot for an American Bully kennel the other day.

Great looking pups.

Every one of these dogs I have ever met were sweet as a sugar pie.

Very misunderstood breed.

Bacon is handsome, indeed. His girlfriend is a cutie. Good shots.

I assume you are looking for critique

#1 - the blown background really mars it. I would recompose next time to avoid this. The only other option is to expose for the background and use fill flash or reflector. The dog is slightly looking out of the frame. I would compose so he is looking into the frame

#2 - Again a blown background, I would PP to put a bit more lighting into the right side of the face

#3 - like the concept but have his eye towards the camera or looking into the frame

#4 - not a bad shot at all, clone out the bright highlight in the foliage (its a bit distracting and do some filing in the shadows on his face to get more detail

He doesn't seem completely dead spot on FOCUSED in the images, they all seem soft.

The first one the sky is blown. I think the second image is too tight of a crop. The third one I like the most, however it seems soft still.

The last one could have used some fill light to highlight her black fur.
