Well the first 2 are super small, the 100mm with a 12mm extension tube just can't get close enough.

1. Only seen this little guy one other time, would love an ID if anyone knows

4.These little guys have an anti focus force field around them i swear, yet to get a clean shot

Lovely variety, JD. That first one is indeed very small; I have had lots of difficulty shooting him. Congrats on getting him!

#2 looks like a lady beetle, genus Psyllobora.

This genus at BugGuide (external link)

P.vigintimaculata is common in the Bay Area.
