Milky Way and Aurora Borealis???

I was looking through some of my pictures from a week ago and noticed some green streaks in some of my images. It was only a few and if I had to guess I would say it's the Aurora Borealis. It's hardly noticeable, but it's only in a few shots and then the mysterious green cloud vanishes in my other images. The location was Joshua Tree National Park located in Southern California. Has anyone ever seen the Auroras here or can explain my phenomenon? Thanks

If it's not the aurora borealis, it may be night glow/ air glow. It shows up green as well and just above the horizon.

Yep, air glow. With maybe a rare once in a century exception, auroras are pretty much impossible that far south.
