Having said that the way they hold their wings makes it difficult to get a clear shot of the head and thorax so going upwards a little as you did in #2 does give a bit more detail in the upper body. 400D, 600D, 12-24mm Tokina, 28mm f2.8, 28-135mm IS, 50mm f2.5 compact macro, Tamron 90mm macro, 55-250mm IS, Sigma 180mm EX HSM Macro
