Drove up, then hiked the remaining quarter mile to the top of Mount Evans. At 14,265 ft (4,348 m), I thought my head was going to explode :lol:

Love the black and white shot, but would love to see that exact shot in color. Very nice series!

Lovely, well worth the hike up! The B&W is ace. :)

I quite like the shot of the road with the layers of hills fading into the background - I'm always a sucker for that kind of a shot! :)

Mt Evans ranks as one of the top 5 on my list of all time great adventures. Like you said....Thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest! I got some great shots of goats, and messed around up there too long only to turn around to see a HUGE cloud bank rolling in over the road back down. Sorta dicey in a 5 ton truck camper!! Scary but well worth it!! Amazing place....

Awesome photos....I didn't get any good ones of the lake up there.....was too tired to get to it!! Plus it was cloudy.
