Not a horse, but this little weaver ant did raise the front legs like one :)

Canon 450D, Tamron 90mm macro

Pushed blacks and then increased the luminance on the Yellow/Orange channel.

Thoughts on this?

That is quite an unusual shot. The detail on the ant is good and the processing is quite unusual. I'm not sure how I feel about that but would like to see the original for comparison.

Actually ant is very hard to be shot. Because of the color and size. It's a nice shoot. I am learning from your photos.
