my mother is Japanese but i'm not from china :D. I would have said the bag was a knock-off if it was. lotsa people scared of china and good deals on the net from what I've seen.

my guess is you are not an ebayer?

Not trying to be the party pooper, but seriously, the fact that your mother is a Japanese does not make you understand what's going on there. And Japan is a developed country, not a third world country. In China they make a counterfeit of everything. And I do mean everything, even food, rice, etc. So you cannot say it's irrational fear.

In the other hand, there's a good chance that the person who sells this product works for Lowepro manufacturing company in China and they have access to the product at a much lower cost.

So if you think it's a real Lowepro, maybe do a quick comparision of the bag and other Lowepro products?

I personally don't care if it is counterfeit, as long as it is not terrible quality. I'm not sure why the legit Lowepro is $150, other than that is what we gear crazy photographers will pay.

I care if it's counterfeit.

I too do not understand why the huge price difference. Maybe they fell off the back of the truck at the factory. That (shhh) I don't care about. (Hey, even Jimmy Carter had lust in his heart.)

But an even much greater price differential is the price of the Canon 500 and 600mm lenses in Canada. They are more than a thousand dollars CHEAPER than they are here in the US.

Also one other thing: guys (and Gals) you have to understand that pretty much everything is made in China these days, and what happens is once the orders are fulfilled for the company that outsourced the manufacturing (in this case LowePro) the chinese factory just turns out another large batch and sells them themselves. These types of products are often EXACTLY the same as the ones youd buy anywhere, its just that the money is going entirely to china. Which is exactly what they want.

So, did anyone finally got their Flipside 400 from that eBay seller?

Is it a genuine LowePro or something similar?

Not that I want to buy a 400 (I already got 300), just curious if anyone who already got it can confirm if it's worth the super low price.

The shipping is via slow boat from China. Literally.

Mine isn't due until next Friday (8/9) at the earliest. I ordered it on 7/24. Will update when I get it. I do have 2 genuine Lowepro bags that I'll be comparing things to, like the label and stitching.

Ordered mine on the 24th says it will be here Sunday, July 28, 2013 - Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

"Hi my friend,
I’m very glad you bought my item. Hope you shopping pleasure.
The item has been shipped and the tracking number has been added on ebay. Please check it. Usually, it would take about 2-6 weeks to arrive you. please be patient and kindly understand."

Said I was sent a tracking number but I never couldn't find it?
Probably be here next week.
