Thanks Peter and Kiwibloke! I originally went to try and get pictures of the fort that is nearby - but had looked at a 2005 tide table rather than 2006 and so couldn't do what I wanted to do.

The lighthouse capture is very nice. I think this would also be a very interesting early morn or early evening shot.

Rickc - you are right. Only that the sun goes down in such a way here that the tide has to be out to allow access to the beach! That was why my reading the wrong tide table didn't help! :)

The sun shining so brightly on the white was a problem and I needed a bit of jiggery pokery in CS to sort it out.
