Hi all.

I have a shot in mind, low-key of a flower lit only on the edges of the petals. A rose or other multi-layered flower would work best, I suppose. It would end up looking somewhat like a negative sketch of the flower's outline and petal patterns.

The problem is: I have no idea how to do that, especially since I currently own exactly nothing in terms of lighting equipment (aside from one speedlite which I'm pretty sure is not compatible with my Fuji, my currently preferred body).

I'm not averse to some DIY or to taking multiple exposures and combining them in post, but since I was planning to do it this weekend (off to visit the parents, they're the ones with all the plants :)) I won't have time to buy or rent proper gear.

Can you guys think of a way to do it anyway?
