These guys were in a shallow lake, and every time I got close, they'd fly to the other side. But, I did get some good landing poses out of them. Formatted 9x16 for desktop use.

I couldn't help thinking how that graceful poise would soon disappear if that was ice they were about to land on! :lol:

That looks like a long ways off, great IQ, especially for that distance, the detail in the wings in number one is sweet Great work!

Thanx for the comments. If I'd had my camo tarp, I would have waded out into the water to try to get closer. Here's #2 uncropped, to give you an idea of the distance. Shot with my 400mm.
