Picture taking help for glow in the dark run

My work is wanting me to go snap a few pictures at an event for charity and it is a glow in the dark run, what settings do you think would be best for something like that? I am guessing i will snap a few with the flash on but that would take away from the glow part i am thinking.

I have a canon 5d mark II and a good bit of lenses

I would leave the flash at home and adjust on the fly with this one. It all depends on how dark it really is. Most certainly run in manual mode and I'd think your most dramatic shots are going to be with slow shutter speeds, probably in the 1/60th to 1/100th range if not slower. Use the fastest lenses you have. Anything f2.0 or faster?

Sounds like it would also be a fun time to experiment with dragging the shutter. Use a tripod, a very long shutter speed (say, 1/2 to 1 second?) and fire the flash at the end of the exposure, using second-curtain flash sync.

I'd say bring a flash just in case. If there are glow sticks or glowing people (I'm not sure what a glow in the dark run entails), you can use second curtain sync to create some nice light trails.
