My wife and I forced one of her coworker's and her husband to practice posing for us. Please give me any critiques, advice, etc.

Before shooting actual people in actual poses, I would study concepts of composition, proper framing and cropping guidelines. Your lighting, focus and exposure appear fine.

I have to agree with Spike44 on all of his comments.

What you will learn when you start working on composition is that while there are still some old rules (like the rule of thirds, etc.) that many photographers follow others break them. Sometimes breaking works and sometimes it doesn't. One time you will use the rule of thirds and get a positive reply and the next reply will be a negative. It happens.

At least for my "likes" there is too much "dead space" in the images. That being said, the next person or the people pictured might really like it.

That's kind of what I was asking for. We have been watching Creative Live as well as studying posing books. These shots were the results of our added knowledge (or lack of).

In #1, rather than centering your couple equally between the tree rows, you might've brought them, and yourself camera left until the rows of trees were offset and nearly converging and in doing so introduced a leading line if the couple was "in" the line of trees rather than in front of it.
