This is probably very typical for forums where you have a couple of folks with issues that scream the loudest and then it creates an impression that the problem is indeed bigger than life.

It would be so great to run statistics across all people that have purchased Sigma 35 F/1.4 and really understand whether AF issues are real or just imaginary and related to 0,02% of all copies sold.

We can use this community to provide this statistics...let's see where we are going to end up with.

Quite possibly my favourite lens, absolutely outstanding and focus is perfect everytime

What's the big deal? Buy it and try it yourself, simply return it if you don't like it...

It's a $800 lens, not $8000...it doesn't need months of research, and it's nothing better than trying it out yourself.

My research has nothing to do with the desire to buy this lens. Indeed, not a very expensive one. I just like statistics:-)
