I have a love/ hate relationship with this shot. I used a slow shutter speed to show wing movement, the heads are sharp, but it gets thrown in the trash and then brought back out. I guess because you rarely see two eagles flying together in harmony and grace in there kingdom.

I really like it because it is unique. Too bad you couldn't have had a choice of backgrounds.

Thank you Mike, ah if we could only choose our backgrounds all the time! It is the only shot I have of Eagles flying peacefully.

Very nice shot Mike, I honestly like the BG, because it shows the contrast between the wildlife and city life, something that is unusual. I've seen some pics of orcas swimming thru Vancouver harbor, that for me is very interesting sight. Also, when I used to live in NY, I saw this famous red tail hawk flying around the skyscrapers.

Thank you very much 2loose. Around here the lock & dam system on the Mississippi River are where you find the Eagles, we have some local ones here, but the numbers triple when they come down from the north to winter here. So there usually ends up being some man made object getting in the photos.

Was that at #14, Mike? That's what got me into this birding thing in the 1st place. I got a bit excited-thought there were maybe some shots to be had over there now, but I see this shot dates back awhile. A two-fer is always good.

I think it's a keeper, Mike. I am constantly looking for ways of getting multiple eagles in my shots, and would love to have this one in my collection!

Thank you Ian, all the other tolerable ones I have with two is fighting or chasing aggressively, this is the only calm one I can recall in many years. You have been there, you know what I mean.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

If this were my shot, it wouldn't get close to the trash.
