Maybe it is temporary and/or an error, but if you search EOS M on Adorama it says the camera has been discontinued:

A lot of people said this was going to happen after the fire sale a few weeks ago.

Looks to me that an updated model is on the way. :)

Seems crazy that it would be discontinued before the replacement is available.

Well...it seems like they only sold a handful of EOS-M's until the price went to $299 including a good lens, and now everyone has an EOS-M and is asking for more lenses....reality might be that unless Canon thinks they can get $800 for an EOS-M mkII, they're just not going to bother selling it in the U.S.

As a car guy who likes German wagon's as his family's long-hauler, I know what it's like to have your favorite new car not be available in the country you live in, I just hope I'm wrong about the EOS-M, because I feel like between the better price and the firmware, Canon has a whole new fanbase for the EOS-M, that would be willing to put down some money for a few great lenses.

The lenses have also been discounted, B&H is throwing the 90ex flash in for free when you buy the kit, the 11-16 is not going to be released in the us. It sure seems that there doing more than just "making room for a new M."

I'm not sure about this. What I saw was a highly unpopular camera and people who are willing to buy anything if it is discounted enough. Not sure it is a strong signal to Canon that they can expect big lens sales, unless they want to be selling them for <$125.

Canon can only blame themselves for that one.

You could have a point about the $125 lenses...I know that I'd be hesitant to buy more EOS-M lenses for much more than that if I knew they weren't going to progress the EOS-M line at all.

Should be an interesting few months when it comes to the future of the EOS-M, I'm sold on it for $300, and it'll get plenty of use to justify the price. But at $500 or over I would have never considered it.
