Yes indeed, very close but they are good at that. It is a beautiful sight to see when a pack is riding the waves. Very nicely done!

Is this a cropped shot?
If not, is there a way to give a little room in front of the pelican so it flies into the frame?

Im just wondering how it would look that way.

Great capture, they are an enjoyable bird to watch fly. I love how they soar just above the water.
