These are from the first All Scale event held locally & the emphasis was on scale flying rather than accurate builds. Pilots were given 5 specific tasks & allowed to pick an additional 3 of their own. The team of judges were kind enough to brief the pilots before each flight & offer constructive critique after it, which won't happen at future events. Unfortunately the day was very windy & eventually the winds won out. Day 2 was just a fun fly & the weather was much better.

This Corsair was powered by a 7 cylinder radial which gave it a very different sound than we normally hear & according to the pilots friend it's been clocked at 202 KPH / 100 MPH

And this (electric powered) Dewoitine D 520 (I'd never heard of it until the event) won the event.

And the same pilot flew this very nice electric P 47 for the fun fly.

The last 4 shots are others that just look "right".

Super job on these, we know that the light for these events can be "harsh" at best. Just hope the wind is going in a somewhat favorable direction so the planes fly in a direction we can live with.
Love the Corsair, we had a really nice one here, but the camera guy botched it...... Mike

Thanks Mike & Randy. It was a great event for a first try even with the winds. There's another event this weekend which unfortunately had to move to a location without a paved runway or fire station nearby so no gas turbine jets.
