I see here very often threads about which lens to take to whereever you go. Now im asking for which lens/es i should take with my 6d to spain. Im going to malaga to a city near the beach (around 10min walk) and i was there since my childhood. Now the beach is great and there are a lot of restaurants and bars and street life so the 50mm 1.2 will be my main lens for that. What lens should i also consider taking with me?

Edit: btw im shooting everything so i dont have a really niche.

Strictly picking from lenses in your equipment list, I would take the 16-35 along with the 50 f/1.2L. I'm thinking some seascape sunrise/sunset shots here - not sure if that's your thing. Maybe a tripod, too?

But that's a lot of glass to be toting around. If I could pick only one... a very tough choice... I would take the 50. In fact, I like having just my tiny 50 f/1.4 on my 5D3 in similar settings.

Have a great time!

Tought about the 16-35 too for the landscape on the beach and soo. Yes its my thing and actually i love doing landscapes just not so much time to travel :S tripod is with me :)

Jep love my 50 too, not as light for travelling as yours but i think the 50 is great for allround

Any other suggestions?

I will also be going to Malaga soon. I am thinking of bringing my 50mm f/1.4, 17-40L and maybe the 24-105L.

I'd personally take my 24-105L and a fast 35 or 50 prime.

My go to travel lens is the 24-70mm. Don't really need anything else.

My 'Ibiza' beach holiday gear is 5D2 & 50/1.4 & make do.

You don't mention kids but 135L might be nice for photos of them but the 50mm may suffice.

You could also take the 16-35L for coastal/sunsets/etc but then the 50mm may suffice for that too......

I would add the 16-35L and consider adding a CPL.

Good idea, also I'd be taking a UV or similar for protection from sand and salt air at the beach.

know you said which lens for 6D, but I'd probably take the 650 with the 18-135 and then either the 40 or 50mm prime for lower light shots.

Yeah thought about that too would be too bad when the 6D gets damaged or gets sand inside but them i realized: id rather have a 6D which is weather sealed instead of the 650D which is not and then ive lost my pocket dslr (just a dream team duo for everyday the 650d with the shorty forty)

On another forum someone who works for canon had the chance to open a 6D fully and he said its one of the most sealed bodies around there. Everything is really weather sealed and it is done very precisely. However: does somebody know how salt water acts on the surface of such cameras?

The 16-35 you have is very much a Mexico lens, the 50L is known to be a China lens. The closest match I see is your 40 STM, that's a lens for Greece but I guess that's close enough.
