My question is about CF card speed. I see a lot of "133x," and "400x" speeds for the cards, but I'm wondering if someone can tell me what I'd need?

I typically am only shooting in single shot mode with the occasional two or three quick continuous shots. I take video randomly here and there of my daughter, but only for a few minutes at most each time.

Do I need a card that's 400x or higher? Or can I get by with a card that's 133x or something?

I realize that 400x will be faster, but I'm still not sure if it's needed for my requirements.

Thanks.

BTW... I'm looking at the Transcend CF cards.

A 133x card will do what you describe, but a 400x is only a bit more money. I would buy the 400x.

Thanks. Yeah I have the 400x and it's been acting up so I'm doing a warranty exchange on it. Wanted to buy a replacement in the meantime but didn't want to spend a ton since it will just serve as a backup, etc. and I don't do this professionally. Might grab a small 133x just to hold me over until I get a replacement 400x.

Thanks
