Hi Everyone

Last saturday on my whole day out thing (some fresh air) ,one of the places i past was Glencoe.
The weather (as others have already mentioned) wasn`t all that great but at least it stayed dry, giving me the chance for a small hillwalk.
All in all not a bad day out after all.

Its a shame i didn`t erange to meet with Adrian (adebass),perhaps another time.;)

Anyway, among the other pictures i managed to get 2 of Buachaille Etive Mor (i know, you probably have seen this mountain hundreds of times before, sorry,i couldn`t resist it) , but i cann`t deside wich one would be the best to keep , so i could do with your help here.

They are completely different (landscape / portrait) and i`m a bit confused.

Help please.

Photos taken with canon N and tamron 17-35 f2.8-4 & Lee filters.

The decision is easy. They are both keepers, Dimitri! Each is well composed for their format. But if you really, really, really need a choice to be made mine is for the landscape framed photograph. :-)

If I were to choose just one Dimitri, I'd "save" the second one. I think it is a stronger image composition wise. The large rock in the foreground helps to anchor the shot. I might try to frame the image with the rock a bit more prominent and maybe less sky, but that's just being picky.

Very well done, I'd be proud to print and hang both! :D

Dimitri, you are fine photographer, only you can make this call! :)

BTW when I looked at your gallery and wanted to leave a comment the site would not let me write anything.

I agree with the first post. Both images are great, although my personal favorite is the first one by a narrow margin.

Dimitri, these images are just stunning! Im very hard pressed to choose one of these, ill say keep both of them. Also i wanted to ask one more thing, did you have to use multiple exposures to get these shots or did the filters do the job?

Thanks mate.

BTW when I looked at your gallery and wanted to leave a comment the site would not let me write anything.

Yes i know , i`m sorry for that but i had to switch that option off , someone kept leaving unpleasant comments all the time untill i got realy sick of it.

I know its not nice for someone who realy wants to leave a comment but it was getting out of hand, and its not just me who is viewing the gallery,it could be you with your child for instance.

Sorry about that.

For the first part, thanks for looking,i`m sorry you cann`t make up your mind,i`m the same.

For your question , the second shot is just one shot , the filters were enough because the whole fg is almost one neutral colour.
For the first shot (because of the complexity of metering{various colours/light}),i took 3 shots because i wasn`t 100% sure about the water expossure and in the end my fears came through.
After i used the best shot, then i had to use part of the waters highlights from another expossure to bring them down a bit.
They were not blown out but they were a bit white.

How could anyone possibly get tired of pictures like these? They are BEAUTIFUL! So post as many version as you like Dimitri. ;)
I agree. It's a tough choice because each of them has its own uniqueness. But if i were to blow it up and make a wall poster for my living room, i would choose #2. :D

they are beautiful shots of such a gorgeous rugged place Dimitri
nature's colours are wonderful like this
with the flowing water there also,
I love # 2 especially, in every way

pity you got rude remarks on your site
that's unusual
is it not easy to delete them on the site ?
