I don’t look at the images until the contest is over, and I got excited every time I saw someone had posted up something new. You all did not disappoint. Some of you even managed to pull multiple interpretations of the theme into one image. Here are some of my thoughts.

ninborn99: great shadowplay. Really enjoy the asymmetrical lighting on the symmetrical structure. The sun rays are a nice touch.

CorpralDjono: I like the fact I can’t tell if the image is crooked, or if the person walking is leaning slightly.

Maureen Souza: This image is so fun at first you don’t realize how technically sound it is. Then you realize it wouldn’t have been as fun if it wasn’t spot on.

teekay: I feel pulled into this scene. After going down to the van, I go wondering about the alley looking at all the detail.

kbColorado: Even when presented in a narrow image, they seem to tower.

groundloop: This reminds me of my youth. Running through the corn-- good example of “If I have to explain it, you wouldn’t understand.”

Jason C: Love how you used the narrow focal point to draw the eye down the rolling pin.

Aepy: Nice calming image. Positioning yourself so the path seems to disappear adds nicely.

M_Six: The age of this waterway is apparent, and it causes me to think the gentleman piloting this craft is old and rugged and has been doing this his whole life. And he is most likely damn happy about it.

Hard choice for me this week, as it always is, but I’m giving the prize to: Maureen Souza
