I have a business Facebook page, with quite a bit of likes. I usually post my new images there just stay keeping reminding people who liked my page im still there and also to share my recent work with friends.

I have noticed lately that my posts are getting less and less views and then i noticed that my posts isn't even showing up in my own personal news feed???

what the heck is going on? do i need to share out my posts on my personal page? do i need to pay to promote the pages? are there any tips for maximizing exposure to a post?

I wish I could give you some constructive feedback, but I'm really only posting to sympathize with you. The same is true for my FB page - the longer I post, the fewer people see my posts, even when I pay for placement. To be honest, it seems like they're just constantly and gradually downplaying my role in my fans' pages in an attempt to get me to spend even more ad dollars.

And that, in a nutshell, is why I gave up on FB completely.

I have a ton of gear, but my gear is just a hammer.

Try some text-only updates... see if that helps increase your reach.

Were your images getting a lot of interaction before?

Facebook is not a good way for me to spend my $$ or time marketing.
Have you tried Yelp?

I would definitely not remotely consider Yelp.

the were, i noticed the numbers slowing decreasing, i just noticed this when my wife asked why i dont post my images to facebook any longer and then i noticed my posts weren't even showing up in my own non-business feed.

whats the point of liking a facebook page if you arent seeing the posts? i guess they want us to pay like mentioned.

maybe after a certain number of posts your posts dont extend to people that liked you.

i'd jump to google plus if anyone was actually on it :)

Sometimes I get tired of the same old ad-like updates from business pages that I used to like. So I either hide them or flag them as Spam. Maybe this is happening to you?

From time to time Facebook experiments with changes to its content management. This might be the case for you too.

Mike,

I just looked at your Facebook page. The latest update (Christina and Adriano Engagement) was posted on July 10. That post may be buried under tons of new updates from other users within the last 20 days. It may be there still but one has to keep expanding their news feed to see yours.

I usually post every 3-4 days just to keep it active. I don't have a lot of fans but it seems to have steady 'views'. Just to keep in people's minds I guess.
I started promoting it and that seem to help a lot but it gets expensive fast. the $ daily budget limit doesn't seem to be within that 24 hours but per day.
btw, Mike, you blog link has an error

Facebook has changed quite a bit lately.. Companies I follow don't show up in my feeds anymore (and if they do, its 1 out of 4 posts if that)... Not everything shows. As far as I know, the company can pay facebook to send out any updates to every follower... But if you don't pay, it now may or may not show up on peoples feeds.

Really stupid.

I've stopped posting pictures on facebook ... it sucks to add stuff to an album and have to keep scrolling and waiting for it to load as you scroll ... half the time it doesn't load at all. Too many glitches, and too easy for people to steal pictures. I also don't "like" people's photography businesses because I find they share their business status or photo on their personal page anyway.
